Alternatively competitors must make their own accommodation arrangements in Pietermaritzburg before the start of the event.
During the race:
Each team is allocated one four-person tent. This requires you to share a tent with your riding partner. Comfortable chip foam mattresses will be provided. You will be required to bring your own sleeping bag, pillow and towel. There is ample space in the tent in which to store your luggage box (see “SUPPLIED BY US” later).
- Private accommodation during the race: If you prefer not to stay in our specially erected race village accommodation (this is not compulsory), you can book your own hotel or bed and breakfast accommodation somewhere near the stage locations. We recommend that you stay in the Hillcrest area on the first night of the race. Accommodation for personal supporters: For logistical reasons, all supporters will need to make their own accommodation arrangements. (Refer to “Personal Supporters and Chaperones”.)
After the race:
Competitors are required to make their own accommodation arrangements should they wish to stay on after the race end. There is no race village in Durban.
